excellent on sooo many levels

I don't know where to begin, the warm welcoming staff, the eloquent spa or the great quality of service. I had met Stanley some years back, he has always been great more people should know of him. I am greatful to have him as my hair stylist, i can't thank him enough for his help with defining my self image!!

my hair has never been so managable

ok so i checked out this new start up spa/ salon one of my girl friends recommended me to, she said you have to see stanley, he is incredible! she has been telling me to go se him for a while now .... i finally took on the suggestion i don't know he didn't go sooner. he had walked me through how to style my hair for home maintenance... explained the importance of proper product usage. also he uses goldwell color my hair has never been so soft and shiny after having my color done!!! i cant believe it. He told me of his years of using numerous color lines this is the best and i believe he is right. also to restore your shine it can be refreshed in 15 mins between your 6- 8 week maintenance for your roots. all i can say is WOW. Stanley was a great Value Thank you !!!!

Best New Salon on Newbury

Everyone knows that, when in New England, you want to head over to Newbury Street for a cut. But what spa to choose? What hair dresser? I moved to Massachusetts six years ago and almost immediately began getting my cuts at Newbury salons. However, despite the often high prices and shi-shi spaces, I found my early cuts lackluster. Better than a Supercuts, surely, but certainly not better than a local salon could provide. So I switched from hairdresser to hairdresser until I came across Stanley. I don't recall the salon he was at at the time, but I do remember the cut. It was the best cut I've ever had, well, until the next cut. Since then, no one else is allowed to touch my head. I've followed Stanley from Salon to Salon and even dealt with the snooty staff at his last place (which I'll be kind enough not to mention it's name)to maintain my fabulous locks. Finally, at Toscana, it all comes together. Stanley is the lead hair dresser at this new salon and it is easy to see why. These people knwo what their doing. The staff is friendly and courteous, and even though the decor is elegant and pristine, it is without that "we're better than you" air that some Newbury salons seem to give off. If you want an amazing cut, ask for Stanley. And for the friendliest spa staff in town, head to Toscana!

Simply wonderful

I can't tell you how much I enjoy this place. Stanley is a master of hair, all the staff is friendly and helpful and the salon itself a restful breathtaking paradise on Newbury St. I have never had a bad experience here, even my boyfriend likes waiting for me here while I get my haircut. Do yourself a favor, quit going to anyplace else and start going to Toscana!

A slice of heaven among the hussle and bustle of Boston

The atmosphere of this Newbury St gem (it's wedged between the Lucky / Diesel Jeans stores and Economy Hardware - right across from CVS) will have you more relaxed as soon as you step in. And given the quality of their services, their prices are well below that I expected. The stylists and estheticians are some of the best in the field - their stylist used to cut Tom Brady's hair, and their esthetician, a perfect gentleman which hails from California, was voted the best in Boston for his skill and care. I was just coming in the place when a customer who came in with his wife raved, "That was the best facial I have ever gotten". While looking them up, I also found out that their Cumberland, RI salon was voted the state's best by the Rhode Island Monthly - they should be less bashful and let customers know that. That just makes it even more exciting that they have opened this Boston location as well!

Silky va-va voom hair, yes please!

I heard of this salon after my girl friend raved about after getting a dream facial there. I was bummed as I had recently gotten a not-so-stellar facial recently someplace else, but I thought I'd try them to fix my hair which had gone haywire from years of the highlighting/straightening combo (I was thisclose to shaving it all off!). The outstanding stylists at the Toscana Spa rescued my tresses by deep treating and styling them to a soft, bouncy do.

The guy I am dating loves running his fingers through it now (and just complimented to my friends on how shiny and amazing it is to the touch yesterday, extra bonus points!).

I've overprocessed my hair in the past which showed as brittleness and frizziness (especially in the back); I wish I had stumbled into Toscana earlier, as following their miracle work my once-tattered locks are more resilient and stronger, and can go through more blow drying and abuse than before.

I wholeheartedly recommend Toscana's, and will certainly be back for more of their hair pampering (I'm addicted now!)
