I've been living in Boston now for the past 6 years. For the first 1.5 years I received a haircut 1/month and never was satisfied with my haircut, despite trying numerous recommended, highly-rated salons.
Finally, a friend of mine from Japan recommended me to Hot Gossip - they really know how to cut Asian hair. It's a great salon. I've been going there religiously since my first visit. Michael is great!
Love going there. Finally a haircut that look nice even when it grow out of the original style. Rie is WONDERFUL!
I flew all the way from North Carolina to have Michael straighten my hair and it was worth every penny! I am definitely coming back - Michael and his staff are fabulous to be around and made my time in Boston very pleasurable!
I'm so impressed with this salon. Michael is truly talented and gifted with hair. I traveled to NYC just for a great haircut and found this salon and now I'm hooked. Very nice atmosphere, pleasure to make the trip into the city for! You won't be disapointed!
Kanoko is great, however she has a baby and work part time now. Michael does a good job too. I paid $63 for haircut plus tips. The girl from NJ did a great massage. I highly recommend this place.
I am caucasion and my hair is extremely thick and frizzy. It takes me 45 minutes to blow dry. I have been coming here for at least 5 years if not more for thermal reconditioning. My hair is silky smooth and straight. The team is professional and extremely courteous. When have you ever been to a salon that gives you a neck and shoulder massage and use a warm cloth on your neck after shampoo? When have you ever had any one protect your eyes with a cloth while shampooing your hair. It was worth every penny and I come back every year for this treatment. I no longer have to blow dry my hair in the heat of the summer and can go swimming without worrying about the frizzies. I can walk in the rain with confidence. The jaapanese invented this treatment. You are crazy if you go anywhere else.
I did alot of research for my next straightening session. The bst one with the most fair price was HOT GOSSIP. They use Liscio, Japanese's best chemical. And my hair came out better than I can even imagine~very impressed! Better than it's ever been. (3rd time straightening). will always go to them for straighhtening!
One of the best salon I visited. Very courteous stylish and they really take their time to get your hair right. The price is a little up there but overall, it's worth every penny. I will not hesitate to go back again.
